Leon was born in Wales but largely raised in Shropshire, England's most boring county. He spent his twenties in dead end jobs, travelling, reading and playing drums in hugely unsuccessful bands. Thankfully, one of those hugely unsuccessful bands played a gig in Innsbruck in 2007 - where Leon met his future partner - and he ended up moving to the city in late 2009. Which, considering David Cameron was Prime Minister a few months later, turned out to be just in time. He started the music-based radio show 'Sensations in the Dark' on Frierad in 2012, began writing about music in 2013, co-founded a Welsh football podcast/blog in 2014 and his first book was published in 2017. He says 'first book' very optimistically. It might also be his last. Although he hopes not.
Leon is delighted to be blogging about Innsbruck, because not only is it his adopted hometown, it's also his favourite place in the world.
